Who is the MVP?

NBA playoffs had just started. This signifies the end of the regular season. MVP has been one of the hottest topics around. I wonder how many of my friends actually watch NBA.For ur info, MVP = Most Valuable Player. Why bother watch EPL if it's so obvious that Chelsea is gonna be the champion again and u're still wishing that Man Utd can catch up?No doubt Champion's League is exciting but I'd rather watch a game with a score of 100-98 than 0-0 or 1-0. Being a basketball fan, I wanna share with you my personal opinions on MVP this time. If u think this is boring, just close the window and wait for another 40 days for World Cup 2 come. These are the 4 players i think have the best chances 2 win the MVP this time.

LeBron James
Position: F
Height: 6-8 / 2,03
Ranks #3 in the NBA in Points Per Game (31.4)
I'm pretty sure LeBron is the HOTTEST basketball idol now. It's fun to watch him play. Great dunks, rebounds, dribbling and jump shots. Dunking is probably his best skill, much more graceful n powerful than any of the NBA players. He has the most triple-doubles in this season. So, what is Cleveland Cavaliers without LeBron? His #23 jersey n his superb play that requires a double team defense and resembles my idol Michael Jordan make him Jordan II. The Cavaliers has the best-looking jersey in NBA, but the Cavaliers without LeBron could not possibly make it for the playoffs this time. However, I seriousy do not like his cocky look whenever he scores or makes a great dunk. I also do not like him being too selfish that sometimes makes stupid forced shots and leads his team into the ditch. But then again, if he doesn't shoot, the Cavaliers can't win a game.

Steve Nash
Position: G
Height: 6-3 / 1,91
Ranks #1 in the NBA in Assists Per Game (10.5)

Ranks #1 in the NBA in Free-Throw Percentage (0.921)
I love Steve Nash. His 6-3 height makes him look like a Hobbit in a game. I never wanna admit that he's short (relatively short) because this will make me a dwarf. Steve is the most unselfish star u can find in NBA with 10.5 assists per game, although his generosity sometimes looks ridiculously dumb in a game when he tries to create good opportunities but loses the ball instead. I think the Suns could make it for the playoffs too even without Steve. However, he has huge impact on the score that makes the Suns the highest scoring team in the NBA. The only thing I dun like about him is his hair. That hair style makes him look like a bell boy instead. Get a hair cut, Steve. Dun forget that he's the MVP in last season. It's unlikely that a guard could be the MVP for 2 years consecutively but Steve could make it possible.

Kobe Bryant
Position: G
Height: 6-6 / 1,98
Ranks #1 in the NBA in Points Per Game (35.4)
Kobe in the Lakers makes him a star. He's quick, explosive and precise. He has great stamina and powerful legs too. He can attempt 3-pointers way out the 3-point line n score. He can dribble through 2-3 defenders effortlessly n score. He can make great passes too but disappointingly, he rarely does that. His selfishness makes him a scoring machine. He could have been a better player if he learns from Steve to be a lil bit more generous. He has great teammates like Parker and Odom but they could not perform in almost every game because Kobe takes the shots most of the time. Unbelievably, he scored 81 points against Toronto on Jan. 22, 2006, which brought him to the 2nd in NBA history, right after Chamberlain. Recently, he changed his style by providing chances for his teammates and took less shots. I'll love him if he continues playing this way!

Dirk Nowitzki
Position: F
Height: 7-0 / 2,13
Dirk is one of my fav players in NBA. U might be surprised that I think he has a great chance to be the MVP because he does not have impressive stats. The only thing to mention is that he was the 2006 Foot Locker Three-Point Shootout Champion. A 7-footer 3-point shootout champion?Unbelievable. U dun see Teng Hong shooting 3 points, do u? Dirk has a great impact on the Mavericks' game results. But why doesn't he have some stats 2 show off?Becoz he's an all-rounder. He is so far the most explosive NBA player I've seen. He is almost unstoppable when he's inside the paint, and he can be very scary when he's on fire on the 3-point line with an impressive 3-point shooting percentage. Dirk is one of my fav players in NBA. It's fun to watch him play although he's not as fancy as LeBron and Kobe. His basic footwork works damn well to allow him 2 score in the paint. Well done, Dirk.

U must be cursing me after reading this stuff for about 1 minute. I love basketball, what to do?U think it's boring, but I like it.so what? Enjoy the playoffs!

Doctors are dangerous

I was reading one of the #1 New York Times best sellers , "Rich Dad Poor Dad" when I came across a paragraph that almost made my warm ass jump out of the couch. We have been hearing about big corporations, entrepreneurs, politicians, brokers and wars that affect the stabilization of a country. Being a medical student who never feel like a medical student and never act like a socially-accepted medical student, I was very proud to find out that doctors actually play a role too.

"Because the doctors raise their rates, the attorneys raise their rates. Because the attorneys' rates have gone up, schoolteachers want a raise, which raises our taxes, and on and on and on. Soon, there will be such a horrifying gap between the rich and the poor that chaos will break out and another great civilization will collapse. Great civilizations collapsed when the gap between the haves and the have nots was too great. America is on the same course, proving once again that history repeats itself, because we do not learn from history. We only memorize historical dates and names, not the lessons." (Robert T. Kiyosaki with Sharon L. Lechter, C.P.A ; Rich Dad Poor Dad ; p.63, line 22-32)

Me : " Uh ngia boh?"
Rich Robert : "Uh ngia."

You think doctor is a noble profession and they are supposed to save lives only? Remember. Doctors do not only save lives like what u alwez think. They are able to make civilization collapse. Respect them before it's too late. Salute them if u see them on the street. Most importantly, do not under any circumstances attempt to ask for free medical treatment even though the doctor was ur secondary school classmate or ur hen tai unless he offers it.
Scared of not!?

Greatest Love story ever told

After reading zen's post about LDR- long distance relationship, I feel that I should share this touching story with everyone.
In the 70's, there was this man, L, living in a small town called Bintangor (known as Binatang until 90's- that's why I'm so pissed with my birth certificate saying 'tempat lahir - BINATANG') who had 2 leave his gf, W, 2 further his studies in KL. LDR started then.
L's studying, W's working. They really loved each other. No sms, no email, no phone calls; only letters. W earned very little. She only managed 2 keep RM30 for herself every month after giving most of the pay to her parents. She decided to save RM10 every month to help L in KL n gave him a surprise, meaning less food n less stuff for herself. Determination allowed her 2 keep RM30 after 3 months. Happily, she posted the money she saved by starving herself to him by air mail. Months went by but he didn't receive it. It's gone.Stolen, perhaps. She broke down n cried...blaming herself for being stupid to send thru air mail, knowing that it's not safe at all - most of the postmen were thieves at that time. He was so touched. It's the thought that counts.
2 years went by. He came home realising that his father had passed away when he was away. Everything had changed, except the love between L & W. They survived LDR for 2 years.
And they live happily ever after.....YES,they're my parents!
Probably you will be surprised that for the 1st time I dun swear in my blog, rather than being impressed by how this love survived such a test. It's a simple story but it really touches me deeply even until now. I'm willing 2 share something private like this becoz i'm willing to give you face. So friends, pls be impressed.

Breaking the Code?

I received an interesting booklet from RBC ministries today (This RBC is not red blood cells.Unbelievably,i have no idea what it stands for. It's a christian society). This booklet is called "The Da Vinci Code - Separating Fact from Fiction".
This is 1 subject I have been dying 2 understand more after I read the New York Times' bestseller "The Da Vinci Code" few months ago. Honestly, this so-called 'historical fiction" was really interesting in a way that I could not differentiate between fact n fiction at all until this booklet came to me miraculously today.
How did Dan Brown confuse me in da 1st place (Normally, I'm very alert - I know that WWE n WWF r different) ? He brilliantly told us that "All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are accurate" in the very beginning of the book. Simple but powerful.A not-so-blur guy like me also got deceived. So u can imagine how George W. Bush will react if he sees it. "Wow...This looks much better than the lies I told..." Maybe next time he can use da same trick too. "All the procedures of bombing and killing, and making myself look like a hero are accurate".
Reading the book was thrilling. He seductively mixed fact and fiction together just like how "seductively" the taiwanese chef mixed bilin n paku 2gether 2 make a really seductive dish. Anyone without strong biblical knowledge including me can easily get tricked by him ; yes, i said STRONG. My faith was somehow shaken too although i still took it as a fiction.
This amazing booklet shows more than 15 Q&A's regarding the doubts the readers had after they read the book.Truth about Priory de Sion, Holy Grail, Knight's Templar, Opus Dei, n most importantly Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene are all made crystal clear. It's like watching Ripley's Believe It or Not. I was very pleased to have all the questions and doubts in my mind sent off by a red card.
I really think Christian should read the book to know how 2 differentiate between truth and bullshit. Ask the priests n pastors if you wanna make things clear. The booklet is in my possession now. Pls ask from me if u're interested.I'm more than willing to share the truth to everyone around me. If you think u wanna save the trouble, log on to www.rbcdavincicode.org
Peace be with you, friends.

Bilin + Paku ?

I recently saw a 1-hour taiwanese show on astro called "my amusement map" which showed this handsome young man named ah hong in his sleeveless body-hugging cleavage-showing shirt travelling in Kuching n tasting delicious food. I was very excited in the beginning when i saw my homeland on tv. However, i nearly puked on da remote control when he started showing d audience how to cook a delicious sarawakian dish.
This ladylike hong hong rented a rm200 boat at waterfront n started cooking while floating on sarawak river.
http://www.molon.de/galleries/Malaysia/Sarawak/Kuching/img.php?pic=15
He proudly called his D.I.Y. dish Bilin Paku. i think everyone knows what bilin n paku is. Here is his interesting but nauseating procedure :
1. Fry the belacan with chilli, onion n some shit-like sauce he brought from taiwan (he said it's his recipe).
2. Use knife 2 cut da paku n bilin into 3 parts (any idiot would know we should pluck it 2 select da softer n fresher parts) n throw away the lower 3rd.
3. Prepare so-called boiled water. The water that the idiot prepared was actually lukewarm.
4. Mix bilin n paku. Dump all into the boiled water 2 soften it (i would say to wash half the animal shit away).

Until this stage, i was already feeling annoyed by his cocky look n the way he talked as if he knew damn well how 2 make a delicious local dish, which he screwed up since da beginning. My nerve was still intact until the mother of all disgusting procedures appeared on the tv.

5. Dump all the warmed vege into a container filled with ICE. (???????)
6. Finally, mix the cold vege with the fried belacan.
DADA!
The most digusting dish i've ever seen had just been discovered by the famous chef from taiwan. (btw, paku and bilin is my all-time favourite vege, provided it's cooked in a nice way!Mix them?no way)
That was already unacceptable
My finger started to move for the 1st time after i stopped playing dota for month

when he proudly named the dish

"SARAWAK-THE JOURNEY of LIFE"
